ZeroWater In Action

5-Stage Ion Exchange Filtration

All ZeroWater® products contain a 5-stage water filter that ensures your drinking and cooking water is clean and tastes pure. ZeroWater’s 5-Stage Ion Exchange Filtration keeps water free of harmful substances while delivering a clean, pure taste.

Water passing through the filter moves through five distinct sections that remove the visible solids, inorganic compounds, and contaminants that lurk in our tap water.

Water Filter Comparison: ZeroWater versus Other Water Pitchers

Ordinary Water Pitchers

  • 2-Stage Filtration
  • Leaves about half of the dissolved solids
  • Water still contains fine particles and sediment
  • Filters are dropped in or snap in place and may not form a perfect seal
  • Imperfect method of gauging optimal filter life (uses a timer)

ZeroWater® Pitchers

  • 5-Stage Filtration
  • Removes virtually all dissolved solids
  • Produces better tasting drinking water
  • Filters thread in for a water tight seal
  • Come with a water quality meter so you know exactly when it’s time to change your filter

The Proof Is In The Filter

We wanted to see what would happen when we filtered kombucha through our water filter, and then through a filter from the other leading brand. The result? A perfect 000 reading for ZeroWater®, and 329 for the other guys.

Frequently Asked Questions

Each water Filter is rated for 20 gallons, but filter duration is dependent on how much TDS needs to be filtered from your tap water. If your water has a high level of TDS, filters lifespan may not be as long.

After ZeroWater® filters have been exhausted and have not been changed, the water produced from the filter may have a distinct smell or taste and the TDS reading may be higher than your tap water. This is a result of the water passing over the exhausted Ion Exchange Resin beads. In order to avoid a change in the taste of the water it is important to test the water regularly and change the filter when the digital meter reads 006.

The contents inside the filter are rinsed with purified water before they are packed. Sometimes, this can cause condensation inside the bag/lid, which is harmless. Unlike other popular filters, our filters do not need to be soaked, flushed, or otherwise prepped prior to using.

To use the TDS meter, remove cap, turn the meter on so that 000 is displayed, and submerge the tip of the meter into the water. We recommend that you change filter when the meter reads 006 on filtered water.
